Although I have a million thoughts and feelings right now, these are the words that keep replaying over and over in my head.
But these words are not for the horses, they know they are home. These words are for all of you! These words are for all of you who have supported and encouraged us over the last twenty-three months since the bait and trap in Sand Wash Basin began in January of 2021. What started as a “silly thought” of a Sand Wash Basin horse being in my backyard has turned into the most incredible mission.
But these are YOUR horses, they are OUR horses, and they deserve to be shared on any given day!
We did our best to prepare them for this year's visitors, and to give them coping skills all while honoring their spirit, and what I have seen unfold here during 2022 confirms that we can do this!
We can love and honor them and continue to give them as much freedom as possible and we can share them with you all.
So, welcome! Come visit, get to know them, learn who they are as individuals, let them teach you, and let them show you that even after you lose everything, you can move forward and you can find happiness again.
Let them be our guiding light as we continue this Mustang Mission!
For and because of them, we are better together and we have no doubt this is exactly where we are supposed to be.
